The ‘flower women’ by Raf Simons strolling in a setting of boxwood bushes and hazels as a reference towards the new French garden. Metaphorically, intensely colorful and ethereal … From spring to summer, dresses with flower embroidery appear increasingly sophisticated as more work from the collection is revealed during the SS2013 Dior haute couture show. Normally, the atelier flou (dresses, blouses) and the atelier tailleur (coats, tailoring) are two strictly separate disciplines at Dior, here they are keenly combined into hybrid creations. The lavish embroidery on some dresses thereby demonstrates strong pieces of technical mastery of the Dior workshops. The beauty of the changing seasons translates into a beautiful bright color palette that effortlessly blends with cheerful orange tones.
”For this season, I wanted to create a collection that speaks for itself. I wanted to create a collection that literally is seasonal and current and propagates a pure spring feeling.” (designer Raf Simons)

The challenging ‘mouth as jewelery’ – pronounced red or pink – is in the spotlight. In first instance the lips are colored with natural pigments. On this basis, Dior then applies its Addict Gloss Diablo Tine and Dior Lipstick Altesse 999, or Dior Addict Gloss Princess and Dior Lipstick Fuchsia Star 766. (The Dior Addict Gloss is available from April 10, 2013) As a spectacular finishing touch red or pink colored Swarovski crystals are applied one by one on the lips for an overwhelming effect.
