The prospect of printing your own 3D printed clothing within the intimate setting of your comfy home, wouldn’t that be a great thing ? Sounds a bit too futuristic ? Not anymore, these examples of 3D printed fashion in all their glory show that home-printed clothes are very much a reality. From perfectly symmetrical skyscraper wedges, to skimpy cardboard cut out bikinis, these examples of 3D printed clothes show just how wild designers can let their imaginations run with this fantastically futuristic technology.

The video entitled ‘this$h!+was3dprinted’ (now, we didn’t make any typos) was created by Mark Ledzian of N9 Productions and showcases 3d printed clothes designs from all around the world. From Heidi Lee’s Parasol Cocktail hat to the Seed of Life corset from Forty West Designs and the Morphogenesis shoes from Pauline van Dongen’s range, these designs are awe-inspiring and bode well for the future synergy of 3D printing and fashion. So where’s the do-it-yourself factor in this story ? Check out the Cube 3D printer (Starting from 1,569 $ according to the brand’s website) from Cubify 3DSystems below, one of the first commercial 3D printers for use at home. Sounds exciting, no ?
