Pure lines with a twist. That’s what the brand new Belgian fashion label O’Rèn stands for. O’ren in Japanese means nothing less than ‘pure’. The accent on the ‘è’ alludes to the playful character of the collection. Belgian designers Michael Wauman and Nathan Murillo know clearly how to create a distinguished ultrafeminine collection with a little something more.
The desginers behind the brand met during their studies at the Fashion Academy of Sint-Niklaas. Soon they found each other in a common style buy after their studies, they both went their own way. For some time Michael Wauman worked as a stylist together with well known tv-stylist Lien Degol. Nathan Murillo was the right hand of the famous Belgian tv-stylist Jani Kazaltzis. As the years passed by, the urge to create an own collection brought Michael Wauman and Nathan Murillo back together. From the beginning their goal was very clear: their brand had to bring high-end ready-to-wear collections in which quality and fit prevail. A collaboration with a Belgian manufacterer therefore was the necessary next step. The result? A collection: 100 % Made in Belgium!

A closer look at the collection and at designers Michael Wauman and Nathan Murillo, both dressed in the same distinct leopard print, raises no doubt. These two guys definitely love animal prints. “Yes, indeed we do”, confirms Michael Wauman. “Animal prints, animal mix print or reinvented animal prints will become the major theme in our next collections as well. Each woman, young or old, has at least one item featuring an animal print in her wardrobe. That’s why we consider it the right theme for a broad range of elegant and sophisticated women whom we want to make happy with our fabulous fits. You have to know that we make clothes for all sizes from 34 till 48. Whereas a woman’s size 38 will wear our tunique for instance as a dress, a size 48 can combine it elegantly with trousers. Our fits are conceived as such that they will hide problem areas such as tummies or big hips. It is thanks to our experience as stylists that we learned what the needs of women are, what they want and what exactly they consider as difficult to find.”
