Spending your holidays at the Belgian Coast? Not only very refreshing in this tropical weather, till 19th of August you can spoil yourself with some Chanel lifestyle.
Today the French brand opened Les Beiges à la Plage, a pop up store where you can try and buy sunglasses…
… or Les Eaux de Chanel – Paris-Biarritz, Paris-Deauville and Paris-Venise. These latest creations of Chanel parfumeur Olivier Polge are only for sale in the Chanel boutiques @Place Vendôme (Paris), @Waterloolaan (Brussels) and in this pop up store in Knokke-Le Zoute… The three unisex eaux are very refreshing and named after certain cities that played a major role in Gabrielle Chanel’s life.
Our favourite one is Biarritz, the most refreshing perfume with sparkling fruity notes of Sicilian tangerine and lily of the valley. In 1915 Chanel discovered Biarritz, a haven of peace by the sea which she found so captivating that she decided to open her first couture house in a villa opposite the casino. The second fragrance, Paris-Venise, takes us back to 1920, the year that Gabrielle Chanel falls in love with Venise just after the death of her beloved Boy Capel. Coco Chanel lets herself be roused by the city of contrasts. The Byzantine and Baroque art treasures that she disovers here, inspire her for her costumes and twinsets later on. Paris-Venise is a fresh oriental fragrance with neroli, accords of vanilla and tonia.
In 1913 Chanel opens her first fashion boutique in Deauville, a haven for elegant women. In Knokke the beautiful decor with little white fences outside the pop-up recalls memories of Coco Chanel at Les Planches de Deauville, the famous wooden promenade on the beach. Beach cabins were named after famous actors and actresses who attended the Deauville American Film Festival. The fragrance is an aromatic-citrusy with green basil notes combined with Sicilian orange.
But there is much more to experience in the pop up! You can have your nails done with Chanel nailpolish at the nailbar or you can get a natural make-up with the Les Beiges make-up collection.
Or an even more exotic summer night look. The result you can eternalize on paper in the photobooth.
We tried the new make-up and were blown away by the new base Le Base Ombre à Paupières which makes us think of the cult oil-free primer of Smashbox the Photo Finish Foundation but in a more liquid version and a totally different packaging.
And we were impressed by the mascara Le Volume Révolution de Chanel Noir.
