La Prairie partners with contemporary artists to interpret the world of Caviar
In 2017, Swiss luxury skincare brand La Prairie is marking the 30th anniversary of its iconic Skin Caviar collection. To celebrate the occasion, La Prairie has collaborated with a select group of contemporary artists on an art exhibition interpreting caviar in all its facets: The Art of Caviar. The Paris edition of the exhibition was hosted on July 4th by Galerie Triple V, a 500-square art gallery near the Palais Royal dedicated to up-and-coming contemporary artists.
The event was the place to see and be seen, attended by Paris’s elite, including actresses Catherine Deneuve, Virginie Ledoyen, Arielle Dombasle, Amira Casar, style icon and fashion designer Inès de la Fressange, singer Helena Noguerra, actor José Garcia, humorist Vincent Dedienne as well as top digital influencers. The artists who worked on the exhibition were all present including architect and designer Paul Coudamy, visual artist TremensS, digital art collective Bonjour Lab and experimental photographers Cinq Fruits.
“We are very excited about this first-of-its-kind collaboration that we feel perfectly embodies La Prairie’s intrinsic link with the world of art,” said Greg Prodromides, Chief Marketing Officer of La Prairie Group. “In using precious caviar in its formulations, La Prairie continues to break the codes of luxury skincare, just as these talented artists go beyond the limits of the imagination. And just as their works begin with an audacious vision, so too does every La Prairie creation,” he added.
The five artistic installations celebrating Skin Caviar’s 30th anniversary include one major masterpiece that interprets La Prairie’s latest breakthrough innovation – Skin Caviar Absolute Filler – through the concept of volume. This most recent innovation in the Skin Caviar Collection restores tone and density for improved skin fullness and refined contours — a volume-enhancing formulation expressed in the art installation entitled “Living Cells“. The striking piece has been unveiled at Art Basel in Basel as part of La Prairie’s newly minted partnership with the world’s premier art fair.

Four additional commissioned works interpreting the Skin Caviar Collection complete the exhibition: “Solid frequencies” by Paul Coudamy, “Moving Pixel” by Bonjour Lab, a photographic exhibition by Cinq Fruits and an audio installation by TremensS
Each of the five experiences is designed as an immersive journey into the indulgent, rarefied, mysterious world of caviar.
The exhibition will be travelling to Paris, New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai, where visitors will be able to experience the mystery, potency and beauty of caviar through five innovative art installations.
