Don’t you get the creeps when walking into one of those sterile design spaces with their minimalistic inhospitable atmosphere ? Well, all that belongs to the past with the opening of the ‘Living Room’ design & eatery in the heart of Brussels, a lovely address where design and gastronomy go hand in hand. The ‘Living Room’ is a brand new and refreshing concept where you can enjoy design statement pieces in a warm and cosy atmosphere because it’s not just yet another design shop, it’s a place where you can come home with warm pastry, the smell of fresh grounded coffee and deliciously, fresh salads to name a few mouthwatering things.

Located in the Euro quarter of Brussels (Jean Reyplein 8, 1040 Brussels), the ‘Living Room’ stands for a hybrid, ultramodern hotspot where cosiness is key. It’s more than a design space, it’s a posh neo-canteen where selected furniture pieces, lamps and other interior elements set the mood for a simple and snugly eatery. The difference with a traditional foodie address is that in the ‘Living Room’ you can also shop for the interior pieces you see. Isn’t that the greatest thing ?

The space, which was created by the architect agency Jespers-Eyers and A2RC, oozes warmth with light wood and concrete combined with trendy cushions and other design objects that generate warmth and a homy feeling. The counter and the kitchen are located on the ground floor together with an informal space equipped with sofas, some small objects and even a corner for the little ones. On the mezzanine good looking tables and chairs are waiting for those who want to have breakfast, work or just want to relax. At the same time you can check out the aesthetics of the design pieces and experience their comfort and durability. Like them ? Buy them ! Lovely place, lovely atmosphere. www.livingroomdesign.eu
