From a black Saturday in the summer months over rain in September to black ice in winter, there is always a reason to stand in a queue. There is simply no escape. At least, that is how it is in our little Belgium. All the more a good reason to choose the interior of your car very carefully when you are buying a new motor. It should be practical, smart and cozy.
Buying a car is a big adventure. Not least because of the money involved, but also because all the questions you must answer. Some of the required questions you probably find easy to answer. Will you take diesel or gasoline? Automatic or manual gearbox? Front, rear or 4 wheel drive? But when it comes to the inside of our car we have much more trouble to make up our mind as the list of options seems endless. Don’t thread on thin ice. Because we spend ever more time in our car, it is of prime importance that you choose the car like YOU want it.

It is a proven fact that neutral bodywork colors like metallic grey, dark blue and black are not only most popular with new models, but also on the second hand market. Grey tones have the advantage that the dirt is less visible, and that is no superfluous luxury. Remains the question why black remains so popular, as one sees literally everything on it. Whatever the answer, traditional minds will take these colors into consideration when buying a car.
Ray of sunshine
The same preference for black or grey is also valid for the car cabins. But do you really have to keep this in mind? If you like a flashy color, are you going to sit in boring grey interior? Are you going to live with that for an average period of a good five years, when you dream of hip red or a yellow accent? The answer is loud and clear: NO!
In times where personalization matters – whether it’s your jeans, sneakers or handbag – you don’t want to be bothered with a dull interior. We all want surroundings which make us feel well. An interior which welcomes us when you open the door: “Hello darling, how are you this morning?” A black interior with yellow accents was exactly the colour combination that yelled this message at us so we chose this combination – a ray of sunshine – for our long haul Toyota Aygo test car.
Trims and things
And when you are still spuzzled for choice, it is good to know that you can opt for a special package with most new cars nowadays. In that case the manufacturer decided for you witch options are the best ones to combine. And in case you didn’t know, special packages have that something extra, which puts then a nose ahead when you decide to sell your car again…
